About Marie-Line Vasseur
On Earth all things, and especially the ones of beauty are fleeting of nature and temporary. Finite in time, we search for eternity in their splendor. Most of my subjects matter are drawned from this theme, I want the viewer to experience the natural beauty in a moment of time...... that will not last...but is sacred and blessed by us artists on our canvases.. The imagery of art serving as a sober reminder of that which is rapidly vanishing.....The short life of a sunset, the mystical light at dawn on rivers and fields, clouds scurrying through the sky hurrying over new landscapes, the vivid colors of a field of flowers, a peaceful pastoral in summer or spring season, the spectacular splash of colors in leaves before they died in autumn, the magic of the sun on ice and snow, warmth reflecting on ice as golden frost ....all fragile and ephemereal purity, pausing in contradiction to the midst of our chaotic, and often too short and stained journey on Earth
